There is no cost to participate in Breaking Boards Breaking Chains and 100% of the funds raised through this year’s break-a-thon will go towards helping Bolivian children who become victims of sexual assault.
Our BBBC fundraising campaign runs during the month of April. We encourage all schools to plan their event for Saturday the 29th. However, exceptions can be made depending on circumstances. Learn more – visit our break-a-thon page or register your school to participate by clicking the button below.

If you are unable to participate in a break-a-thon event and would still like to support our fundraiser please consider making a donation. The link provided here will take you to International Justice Mission’s BBBC Donations Page. If you are making a donation on behalf of a specific school or club please specify the name upon completion of the online form. Thank you in advance for your support. Every little bit helps children who are unable to access help from Bolivia’s law enforcement and judicial system representatives.
We would like to thank our official event sponsor, Bushido Martial Arts Gear and Fight Gear Supply, for their continued support. Ian Karpinski, the owner of Bushido, has been a huge support since our break-a-thon fundraiser started.
As a socially conscious company, Bushido aspires to have all of their suppliers conform to international standards to ensure that conditions are suitable and workers are not exploited. Therefore it was a natural fit for them to jump on board with our fundraising campaign. We take pride in knowing that the products they carry and provide us through their sponsorship are not produced by child or bonded labor.
Bushido sponsors the prizes for our Creative Break Contest (watch last year’s winning entry here) which gives prize vouchers to the school/club who submits the most unique (individual or group) break. This year the winner’s prize will be donated to a school or club of their choice who works with vulnerable populations.
NEW THIS YEAR – Bushido is sponsoring 100 FREE BOARDS to the first 10 schools who register for this year’s campaign. This is a big saving for the schools so get your registration in and start planning your event.
Our ultimate goal is to raise ONE MILLION dollars to combat global injustice! These are our accomplishments since 2013.
*Money raised was enough to support the equivalent of 10 rescue operations. $8200 is the average cost of a rescue and does not necessarily correlate to the number of individuals rescued during an operation.
